First and foremost, Job Search One (JSO) is a proven, practical, and complete approach to conducting an effective job search. Thousands of people have used these techniques successfully.
JSO contains no hype or gimmicks. In fact, we will tell you exactly what we believe, even if it may not be what you would like to hear. We will never suggest an easy route over a more effective one, although we will make you aware of both.
JSO is comprehensive. It includes proven techniques for all aspects of a job search and tools for self-assessment, creating resumes, record keeping and other aspects of the process. It also includes the capability to store on-line or download and store in you computer, your resumes, your complete job search records and all search related correspondence and material.
It is a highly interactive process not just with the website but with your JSO coach as well as others who are conducting a job search using JSO, through our bulletin boards. This ‘support network’ can be helpful for testing new ideas, getting feedback and just having someone to talk with.
We will stick with you, not just until you receive a job offer, but until you have established yourself in your new position. The goal of JSO is not just for you to find a job, but to be successful in it. Our process includes techniques for evaluating job offers, negotiating responsibilities and compensation and ways to get off to a great start.
A word of caution: While the JSO process is extremely well designed, it is not a magic wand. It is up to you to use the tools, techniques, coaching, skills and other resources in a disciplined and dedicated manner. The more discipline and dedication you demonstrate, the greater the likelihood that you will find the right job.
