Contract Job Search Coach
Responsibilities include providing telephone-based coaching and support to JSO clients conducting a job search. This coaching may be on any aspect of the job search and any of JSO’s tools and techniques. Coaches are typically assigned to a client for the duration of their job search, unless the client requests a change. All coaches must operate with a high degree of professionalism and meet the ethical and professional standards of both JSO and the Association of Career Professionals.
Qualifications include training, generally post-graduate, as a counselor or coach. Candidates must have at least ten years experience in successfully coaching or counseling clients to deal effectively with practical, real world issues. They must be down-to-earth, straightforward, candid and empathic in approach.
Training in JSO tools, techniques and approaches will be provided. In addition, all new coaches will be closely supervised until they meet our standards of performance.
Location is flexible since all coaching is done via telephone.
Compensation will be discussed with qualified applicants.
Note: JSO Coaches are not employees of JSO but rather operate as independent contractors. A typical workload is 10 to 20 hours a week, with 20 hours a week being the upper limit.
